Level Objective: In Level 1, children will be familiarized to the aquatic environment and helped to acquire rudimentary basic aquatic skills. Level Prerequisites: No skill prerequisites children must be at least 12 months old and parent must accompany child to each class. Level Objective: Parent/Child will work to familiarize children with the swimming lesson environment, teach swimming readiness skills and to help prepare your child for when they turn 3 years of age to join preschool level 1. Level Prerequisites: No skill prerequisites children must be at least 6 months old and parent must accompany child to each class. Various games and fun activities will help your child feel safe while discovering the foundations of swimming. Level Objective: Parent/Baby lessons are a unique bonding experience, while helping develop a positive and long-lasting attitude toward water. The registration deadline for each session is the Friday prior to the first week of class of the session.Ī minimum of 3 lap pool lanes will be available for member use during Swim Academy times. Parent/Baby, Parent/Child, and levels 4-6 have a student/teacher ratio of 6:1, and Preschool levels 1-2 and levels 1-3 have a student/teacher ratio of 4:1. All instructors are WSI certified and each class runs 30 minutes. Each class is filled with fun, engaging, and challenging activities that motivate participants to want to perform and learn how to swim.Ĭlasses are held on Saturdays for six weeks. For every level of learn to swim, instructors follow a plan to introduce new swimming and water safety skills as well as build on previously learned skills.
